We have a range of units with outputs from 10.6kW to 490kW, heating only, heating and domestic hot water or heating, cooling and domestic hot water. They come in air-source or water-source.

These units can be used to produce large quantities of domestic hot water for shower blocks in camp-sites, with very quick recovery times, at far lower running costs than oil or gas boilers. In addition, they take away the risks involved with oil or gas boilers.

With these heat pumps there are:

1. no fumes or toxic emissions

2. no waste products

3. no stored fuels that pose a fire risk

4. no fuel deliveries that pose a fire risk

5. no delivery or storage requirement and so no risk of running out of fuel

6. no purchase of fuel

7. no cleaning/servicing of the boiler

Our water source units can be used with horizontal or vertical ground-loops, open loop well water, fresh water (lakes, streams or ponds) or with sea-water.

As the public has become more environmentally aware, they have adopted the camp-sites’ rubbish collection and recycling systems. The switch to energy efficient systems by the campsites can be seen by the public as the next natural environmental step. For the campsite owners, it is not just an environmental move, but it is also the biggest cost-cutting move they can make.

Some of the larger chains of camp-sites have already adopted this policy as a marketing tool. They are targeting the environmentally aware holidaymaker who is not flying away on a package holiday half way around the world but going back to nature and having a camping holiday, having been previously unaware of how luxurious these holidays have become. They get all the facilities and more that they had in their hotel but they also feel they have done their bit for the environment.

To stay at a campsite and then hear an oil boiler continuously firing up while lying in bed is not an impression the camp-site owner will want to leave with the camper.

Swimming Pools

Our heat pumps can perform multiple tasks. They are not just useful for ensuring there is ample domestic hot water for showers, but can also be used for heating the swimming pools, heating and cooling the public buildings on the campsite like the restaurant, bar, toilet block, games rooms, etc.

Low ambient temperature Air-source

Our Low ambient air temperature units will work in ambient air temperatures as low as -20°C, and due to their over-sized evaporators will still retain a COP of 2.3 in -15°C conditions.
